The Territories of the Soul
A Quadrilingual Journal of Analytical Psychology
(Exploring the uniqueness of the inner world through the diversity of cultures and languages)

Artwork by Brian T. M. Govern (1978)
In this magnificent work by Govern, we see the Snowy Owl – a symbol of wisdom, night vision, and a messenger between the material and spiritual worlds – making a striking appearance before the Bear, representing quiet strength, introspection, and connection to the earth.
Objectives
The journal’s mission is to contribute to a profound reflection on the dramatic phenomena of our time through dialogue among the various schools of depth psychology:
- Interdisciplinary Dialogue: Opening doors between often compartmentalized analytical schools (Jungian, Freudian, Adlerian, and others)
- Cultural Awareness: Recognizing the importance of the worldviews (weltanschauung) specific to each geographic region.
- Contemporary Reflection: Analyzing current challenges: ecological crises, geopolitical tensions, the rise of extremism, and the impact of technology on human relationships.
International Collaboration
A project driven by international collaboration….
- French-Speaking Regions : Canada (Quebec), Europe (France, Switzerland, Belgium).
- English-Speaking Regions : to be determined
- Spanish-Speaking Regions : Latin America and Spain.
- Portuguese-Speaking Regions : Brazil and Portugal.

Journal Structure
Each issue is organized to reflect the richness of our exchanges….
- Thematic Articles: In-depth features on a central topic (e.g., Love versus the Will to Power, The Virtual World, …)
- Fertile Cartographies: Free-form clinical and theoretical research.
- Arts: The exploration of the psyche through artistic creation.
- Book and Journal Reviews: A close look at recent publications from other journals in the vast field of psychoanalysis.

Historique
The journal “Les territoires de l’âme” is part of a tradition of excellence and continuity. It succeeds the Revue de psychologie analytique (RPA), whose final issue (No. 13) was published in June 2025.

This transition marks the shift from an initially French initiative to a resolutely international and multilingual project. The new title reflects our desire to explore linguistic “territories”—French, English, Portuguese, and Spanish—as cultural cradles that shape our worldview and our relationship with others. By uniting these geographical pillars, from Europe to the Americas, we create a space where individuation is considered in its global and collective dimensions.
